2019 has brought some new rules for bass and recreational anglers. Last year anglers weren’t allowed to retain any bass caught, this ruling was relaxed from October to allow us to keep one bass per day if we desired, providing it was exceeded the minimum landing size of 42cm. The rules then reverted back at the start of the new year as the proposed rules hadn’t been finalised.

This year we will now be allowed to retain one bass per day from April 1st through to 31st October, we will not be allowed to retain any bass outside of these months.

We think you will agree that this a vast improvement against last year, potentially allowing anglers 214 bass per year, well for those privileged enough to go every day!
