Here is the report from the LDSFC Shore flounder open.

On bank holiday Monday 3rd of January Lymington & District sea fishing club held its shore flounder open. The weather was dry with a strong SW wind to start the match. The wind eased as the match went on.44 anglers signed in, a good turn out in these difficult times. All set off in hope to catch the exclusive flounder.The fishing was slow to Say the very least, with 9 sizeable fish caught. 3 flounders, 5 bass and 1 rockling . The best fish caught on the day was a 2lb 6.6oz flounder caught by Rory Lancaster.

The match winner was Rory Lancaster, 2nd place Terry kempton and 3rd place was Tony Mapes Heaviest flounder Rory Lancaster with a flounder of 2lb 6.6oz £50
