I was up before the sun this morning for a bass session before opening up. We had a few follows on various lures — the fish were certainly there and interested, just taking their time about committing. Eventually one couldn't resist a topwater, which is always a treat to watch. Not a specimen by any means, but a cracking start to the day with a sunrise thrown in for good measure.![]()

Loni's Beach Match Series is back at Steamer Point. We've lined up 4 evening matches: 14th and 28th October, then 11th and 25th November. It's £25 for series entry plus £5 per match. The matches will be pegged matches, have bait supplied and a 100% payout. The fish caught are to be measured then released. Fishing times will be 8pm - 11pm. What's not to like? Give us a ring on 01425 616323 or pop into the shop to get yourself booked in, spaces are limited so don't hang around. A full set of match rules will be given to entrants.
