Last Thursday was the first match of this year’s Shingle Bank League as the first one was cancelled due to bad weather in total contrast to weather for the evening could not have been better clear, calm with a light northly wind. 16 club members signed on and 14 weighed in 58 fish for a total weight of 62lbs 2oz.

Fish caught consisted of undulate rays, rockling, pouting and dogfish.

The best fish of the evening was an undulate ray weighing 12lbs 6oz caught by Malcolm Stote. Other notable fish caught were an undulate ray of 10lbs 6.2oz caught by Danny Panks and a dogfish of 1lb 14.8 caught by Paul Watson.
